Comedians, Dancers, Singers, Slam Poets, and everything in between come together and compete for a chance move forward into the final round and a chance to win $1000 as this season's overall winner. This night, there will be 6-8 acts performing, leading towards having our top 3 for our season finale.

This Variety showcase showdown is produced to help fund FOCUSOGRAPHY™ Magazine. The Austin Magazine is full of inspirational stories and relative content for musicians and artists of all kinds for the sake of learning: the trade, the ins and outs in the industry, headshots, booking kits, marketing skills, branding tips, and much more to help artists and musicians have more control over their success without having to spend their non-existent life savings to make their dreams come true. This Variety Showcase will occur every last Saturday of the month starting June 30th from 9-11pm.

Art benefits the community in many aspects and the more talent we can come together with, the bigger the effect it will have on the city in understanding that we don't need to go outside of Austin to book venues of all kinds. There's a lot of talk about supporting local business but I don't see any action. The self proclaimed "live music capital of the world" has issues booking local acts for real rewards... what about the locals? Why aren't we supporting them? This Variety Showcase Showdown will give awareness to this FOCUSOGRAPHY™ project while showcasing the various talent we do have in this great city. Anything from burlesque dancers to singer-songwriters and musicians to comedians and acts that will entertain and also help bring ppl together.

FOCUSOGRAPHY™ will be recording and live-streaming on Google hangouts to ensure that even if you can't make it to Club 606, you can still join the fun. After every show, the audience will vote for their favorite 3 acts (which will receive a prize donated by a local business) and after the totals are tallied, the top winner will move onto the next webisode to compete with that top contestant. At the end of the season (undetermined time frame), all the top winners will compete amongst each other for a grand prize (still yet to be determined). Stay tuned, FOCUSOGRAPHY™  is bringing it live from Austin, filled with Austin acts.
